Goals of Initiative | -Identifying young Persian youth who currently serve or have the potential to serve in community leadership roles.- Instill and fortify Jewish Values in the future leaders of our community.- Help these individuals develop a stronger sense of responsibility for the future of our community and use their leadership qualities to draw more people towards the values they’ve learned through the program- Teach our future leaders how to take responsibility – Teach them about historical leaders in modern times and biblical times and how they were successful – Build potential leaders who know how to work in a team and know when it’s appropriate to follow and not lead.- Teach potential leaders the Jewish View of Leadership with examples from primary sources |

– Local leadership seminars/workshops-Programming geared at young professionals or pre-professional college students- Israel trip (with specific programming geared toward leadership/Torah values)- Weekend getaways- Local leadership lectures |
Criteria for Evaluating Applications | Please write a paragraph that describes your proposed project. What needs and/or core leadership issues does it address? How do you intend to deliver the Jewish learning component to participants? How many peers do you plan to engage through the JVP Leadership Initiative? What relationships do you already have (or plan to develop) that will help you to effectively collaborate with other agencies that work with Jewish singles and young couples. How do you plan to engage in leadership roles for the project? How will you engage un- or under-affiliated Jewish members? |
