Do we really need another organization?
The JVP model is different than any other thing done in our community. If it is already being done in our community, we don’t want to do it.
- The JVP establishes specific initiatives that organizers can propose programming for.
- We work with multiple organizers to collaborate together towards the same goal.
- We work with multiple philanthropists to invest in our community together.
How much do you take for your wonderful services?
Nothing! Every penny raised goes directly to the cause it was assigned for. How do we do it? Our dedicated board members pick up the tab for all Partnership expenses so that 100% of the funding goes where it needs to.
Are you guys Orthodox, Conservative or Reform?
We are all and at the same time “none” of the above. Funding through the JVP is supported by all factions of the community for the common goal of increasing Jewish Values. No organization will be turned down simply by their organization affiliation.
What are you improving in the current system of giving?
There is very little strategic effort to combine the best of our community resources to help address the concerns that impact the future of our community. There are many investors who have been reluctant to invest because of lack of strategy, accountability and feedback from within the organizations. There are often redundancies and inefficiencies in how certain community efforts are executed and many needs lacking proper attention. The JVP is looking to bring the community organizations together to target communal needs more strategically as well as current and would be investors to help make a more significant impact.
Who is Behind the JVP?
The Jewish Values Partnership is organized and managed by an entire team of volunteer-based business-minded professionals spanning diverse industries including health, legal, real estate and manufacturing. This collaboration of veteran business leaders with young tech-savvy professionals allows the use of the industry’s best practices to ensure that the best Technology, Resources and Efforts are made for the education of our community in Jewish Values.
Is my funding to Jewish Values Partnership tax-deductible?
Yes. Contributions through the JVP are made through a non-profit Community Foundation that is registered under Section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code. Contributions through the JVP are fully tax-deductible for the year in which they were made under IRS Section 170 of the tax code.
What percentage of incoming investments go directly to the causes?
100% of funding to the JVP will go to the organizations that the investors vote to support. At the present time, JVP Board Members and Trustees help underwrite all of the administrative and operating expenses.
